Welcome to AQTIS Quarterly. These articles provide a high-level overview of all the work the team has done in the last three months, as well as add some context as to what’s to come for the relevant AQTIS teams further down the line.
AQTIS Quarterly is broken up into distinct sections:
- Tech / Dev Round-Up: An exploration of what the dev team has been working on.
- Product Round-Up: This captures other developments that have taken place that might not fit with the other two labels. This includes content, marketing, and changes to how we’re building AQTIS.
- Quant Round-Up: A closer look at how the technology underpins the AQTIS ecosystem.
Tech / Dev Round-Up
This quarter, the dev team has been super busy building out all the requirements needed to ensure the AQTIS LSDs are stable and secure. Highlights can be found below:
Smart Contract Optimization; Tax Reduction
Objective: To reduce the gas fees associated with each transaction, making our platform more cost-effective for users.
Impact:
- Lower Transaction Costs: Users now benefit from significantly reduced gas fees, enhancing the affordability and attractiveness of our platform.
- Increased User Activity: The reduction in transaction costs has led to increased user activity and engagement on the platform.
Quant System Enhancement with AWS
Objective: To bolster our quant system with advanced trend and directional systems, as well as improve the mean reversion model
Implementation: We integrated AWS into our quant system, leveraging its robust infrastructure to enhance our data processing capabilities. This integration has allowed us to improve the accuracy and performance of our trend and directional systems, as well as our mean reversion model.
Impact:
- Enhanced Performance: The integration has resulted in more accurate trend predictions and improved mean reversion strategies, leading to better trading outcomes.
- Scalability: AWS provides the scalability required to handle increasing data volumes and complex computations, ensuring our system remains robust and reliable.
Development of Internal dApp Dashboard and Operation Monitoring
Objective: To build a comprehensive internal dashboard for effective dApp management and operation monitoring.
Implementation: We developed an internal dashboard that provides real-time insights into dApp performance and operational metrics. This tool allows our team to monitor system health, track usage patterns, and quickly identify and address issues.
Impact:
- Operational Efficiency: The dashboard has streamlined our operations, enabling more proactive management and quicker resolution of issues.
- Informed Decision-Making: Real-time data access supports informed decision-making and strategic planning.
CEX Listing Application for AQTIS Token
Objective: To get AQTIS token listed on multiple centralized exchanges (CEX) to increase its accessibility and liquidity.
Implementation: We have applied to several prominent CEXs for listing our token. The application process is ongoing, and we are actively engaging with these exchanges to expedite the listing.
Impact:
- Increased Accessibility: Listing on CEXs will make AQTIS tokens more accessible to a broader audience, enhancing liquidity and market presence.
- Market Expansion: This strategic move is expected to drive market expansion and increase the adoption of our token.
Looking ahead
The team have a lot coming up in the next quarter. But the main focus will be:
- Public dashboard — we’ve completed an internal dashboard that provides an instant snapshot of the AQTIS ecosystem. We’ll be rolling this out for the public.
- Private yield — LST holders will be able to claim their yield privately.
- Multiple currency claim — we’re building out the ability to claim yield in currencies beyond what we currently offer.
- LST calculator — this a feature we’re building that allows you to calculate how much yield you could generate over time.
Product Round-Up
- AQTIS Website — we overhauled the old website to make things simpler, clearer, and easy to dive into the AQTIS ecosystem. Find it here.
- Launch the AQTIS dApp — we had a super successful launch of the AQTIS dApp, the gateway to our LSTs. We made some refinements on the user experience to make things easier too.
- New hires — the team keeps growing! We hired a head of product who is helping push things forward. We’ve expanded our dev team as well, with two new hires due to start imminently, on top of beefing up our quant team. That said we’re on the hunt for a social media/marketing whizz. If you’re interested reach out in the usual channels!
- KOL onboarding — we brought more KOLs on board to help with marketing efforts. This is an important piece of the marketing puzzle.
- AQTIS Roadmap and Marketing Update — We shared the short-term vision for the team from a product and marketing perspective. You can find it here.
- Quant Performance Articles — We released documents showcasing the quant performance in detail for some of the key currencies in our portfolio. You can find details on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.
- Partnerships — we launched our first partnership with MoonPay, the largest payments crypto company. By integrating MoonPay into the AQTIS dApp experience, users will now be able to buy ETH and USDC with a credit card and exchange it for our LSTs natively inside the AQTIS dApp.
- Merch Store — We launched our merch store! Designed by our in-house designer, you can pick up t-shirts and hoodies featuring some of our iconic designs! 👉You can find the merch store here.
- Security audit — we had our codebase audited by one of the best, DeDaub. The company, trusted by Chainlink, the Ethereum Foundation, Lido, Ledger, and Coinbase has spent the last few weeks performing crucial security checks to ensure our smart contracts perform as they should.
Looking ahead
The big focus is marketing. We are onboarding a creative agency who will be handling a campaign to raise awareness. This ties in with some tweaks and changes we’re exploring to help make AQTIS even more compelling.
Stay tuned.
Quant Round-Up
Our co-founder and the quant team spent much of Q2 2024 developing a major improvement in the trading process by introducing AQTIS Quant V2.
This new platform builds upon the foundation of our previous version while introducing several enhancements designed to maximize trading opportunities and optimize risk management.
Key Features of AQTIS Quant V2:
Expanded Trading Universe: Unlike its predecessor, which was limited to just 20 cryptocurrencies, AQTIS Quant V2 now trades across the entire universe of crypto assets. This significant expansion allows for greater diversification and the ability to capitalize on a wider range of market movements and opportunities, and help to remove our bias in picking coins manually.
Proven Trading Strategies: AQTIS Quant V2 continues to utilize the time-tested strategies that have proven successful in various market conditions:
- Momentum: Capturing gains by following the strength of price trends.
- Breakout: Identifying key levels where prices are likely to break out into new trends.
- Trend Following: Riding existing trends to maximize profit potential.
- Mean Reversion: Exploiting price deviations from their historical average to identify potential reversals.
Advanced Sizing Techniques: One of the standout features of AQTIS Quant V2 is its sophisticated approach to position sizing. The system employs an in-depth analysis of volatility and risk to determine the optimal size of each trade. This ensures that positions are adjusted dynamically based on current market conditions, enhancing both profitability and safety.
The next big move on the Quant side was the AQTIS launch on June 3rd. This launched the use of our LSTs funds for the trading process. The main focus was to test the robustness of the system in an end-to-end view. The system has run smoothly for the last month including the elastic AWS implementation that was also finished in this quarter.
These big changes involved some additional changes:
- Automated ML process to the new Quant system capable of estimating the risk and potential risk of the operations.
- AWS elastic implementation and testing.
- Improve data platform capabilities to trade all of the crypto universe and not only the main coins.
- Implement an automated end-to-end monitoring system.
Looking ahead
The Quant team will be spending Q3 making continued refinements in different areas:
- AI/ML process — The quant team has a continuous improvement plan for the new capabilities of AQTIS Quant V2. Widening the traded universe is a challenge for the actual ML process, but opens a new set of opportunities to improve trading results.
- Monitoring system — The quant team will continue developing the actual monitoring system to be able not only to manage all the operations but to publish results on the dApp new dashboard.
- Adding/improving strategies — While QuantV2 is a major improvement, the quant team continues to explore new strategies and trading methods.
