AQTIS Bi-Weekly Dev Update #1: LSD Smart Contracts & UI Mockup
In light of transparency and in order to provide a better understanding of where we are with the development of our platform, we’ll be doing bi-weekly development updates starting today. As we’re still in the process of releasing the documentation and the community is very eager to learn more, we thought it’d be good to give a regular look behind the scenes.
We’ve made significant progress in several key areas that we’re eager to share with you. Here’s a breakdown:
—
💻 Developing the LSD Smart Contracts
We’ve been working hard on developing the LSD smart contracts and made substantial progress in finalizing the core functionalities. Various challenges have been overcome to make the contracts both sustainable and optimized for our unique reward mechanism, based on Time-Weighted Average Balance (TWAB). Currently we’re in the stage of internal reviews and optimizations.
Challenges and Solutions
Sustainability: Our focus has been on cost-effectiveness and gas efficiency.
Reward Mechanism: Implementing TWAB for reward distribution posed challenges, but we’ve arrived at a robust solution that is both accurate and efficient.

🎨 Implementing Smart Contracts into UI Mockup
We’ve started the process of integrating the LSD smart contracts into our UI Mockup. This allows us to simulate real-world transactions and better visualize the user experience. As we’re already working with this mockup internally, here’s what the first concept mockup looks like.

🔨 Minor Refactoring After OpenZeppelin Library Update to v5.0.0
We’re currently diving into the documentation of the newly released OpenZeppelin v5.0.0 library. This update introduces several optimizations and security improvements. While we’re still evaluating the full range of implications, we already decided to perform minor refactoring on our existing smart contracts. Rest assured, we’re committed to fully understanding the impact before making any more changes. Though we’re happy to announce that this will not affect our product delivery timeline.
🗓 What’s Up Next
As we continue our journey to improve and optimize the LSD smart contracts, here’s what you can expect from us in the upcoming weeks:
More Local Testing
We will intensify our testing efforts in a local environment to ensure that every aspect of the minting process is as efficient and secure as possible.
Refinement and Optimization
Based on the results from local tests, we’ll make necessary refinements and optimizations to iron out any kinks.
Closed Test Environment on Ethereum Test Network
After these refinements, we will be setting up a closed test environment on the Ethereum test network to validate our smart contracts in a more realistic setting.
